Terms for open workshops

What applies when you book a seat at one of our open workshops.

These terms sit on top of the General Terms and Conditions, version 4.1, September 2026 (the "GTC"). They do not change the GTC.

Version: 1.1, 28 September 2026

Applies to: tickets for public workshops and masterclasses of Like a Human AI (open workshops), bought on likeahuman.ai.

1. Who we are and how these terms work

1.1 Like a Human AI, established in Maarssen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 83321187 ("we", "us").

1.2 When you buy a ticket, you enter into an agreement with us. These Terms for open workshops apply, together with our GTC. Both documents are available on request at academy@likeahuman.ai.

1.3 These terms are written for open workshops. Where these terms and the GTC differ, these terms prevail. For tickets bought on our own website, section 5 and 6 of these terms replace article 8.3 and article 8.5 of the GTC.

1.4 The following GTC provisions are written for in-company programmes and do not apply to open workshop tickets: articles 3.2, 5.3, 7.2, 7.4, 7.7, 7.8, 8.2, 8.3, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, 8.8, 8.9, 14.2 to 14.4, 16.3, 16.4, 16.5, 22, 23, 24, 25.1 and 25.2, and article 11 (non-solicitation).

1.5 "You" is the person or company that buys the ticket. "Participant" is the person who attends. If a company buys a ticket for an employee, the company is the buyer and the employee is the participant.

2. What your ticket includes

2.1 Your ticket gives one participant a seat at the workshop on the date, time and venue shown on the event page at the moment of purchase.

2.2 What is included (for example the intake, the online learning environment, the certificate, five days of email support after the workshop, coffee, tea, lunch and an afternoon snack, and any bonuses) is what the event page lists at the moment you buy. A VIP ticket includes the extras listed for VIP on that page.

2.3 The workshop is a best-efforts service (GTC article 4.1). We teach you how to work with AI. We do not promise a specific result for your work or business.

2.4 Drinks after the workshop are not included.

3. Price, payment and invoice

3.1 Prices are in euros and include 21% Dutch VAT. Admission to a workshop is taxed where the workshop takes place, so Dutch VAT applies to every buyer, also to businesses outside the Netherlands.

3.2 You pay the full price when you book. Your seat is confirmed once the payment has succeeded. Payment runs through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

3.3 Buying for your company? Enter the company name, address and VAT number at checkout. We then issue the invoice in the name of the company.

3.4 Booking three or more seats, or paying by bank transfer? Email academy@likeahuman.ai before you book. Payment by bank transfer is due within 14 days and always before the start of the workshop.

4. Business customers

4.1 Our open workshops are intended for business customers: companies, organisations and professionals who buy for their work or business.

4.2 If you nevertheless buy as a private person (consumer), the rights that mandatory consumer law gives you apply. Nothing in these terms or in the GTC limits those rights (GTC article 2.4).

5. Cannot make it? What you can do

Every seat is reserved for you and blocks someone else, so tickets are not refunded. What you can do instead, free of charge:

5.1 Send someone else. Send us the name and email address of the person who takes your seat.

5.2 Move to another edition. Move your seat to another edition of an open workshop, as long as seats are available. A seat can be moved once. If the new edition costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, the difference is not refunded.

5.3 Both options are available until 48 hours before the start of the workshop. Email academy@likeahuman.ai and we arrange it.

5.4 If you do not attend and did not tell us in time, your seat lapses. You do not receive a refund or a credit towards a future edition.

5.5 For bookings of more than one seat, these rules apply per seat.

5.6 Your ticket is for your own use or for your colleague. You may not resell it commercially or above the price you paid.

6. If we cancel, move or change the workshop

6.1 We may cancel or move a workshop, for example if too few people have booked, an instructor is unavailable or in case of force majeure (GTC articles 8.4 and 20). We tell you as soon as possible.

6.2 If we cancel or move the workshop, you choose: a full refund within 14 days, or a seat at another edition.

6.3 Travel and accommodation are booked at your own risk. We do not reimburse them, also not when we cancel or move the workshop.

6.4 We may change the programme, the order of the day, the tools we demonstrate and the instructors, as long as the workshop keeps its level and subject. An instructor may be replaced by an instructor of equivalent standing (GTC article 6.1).

6.5 If we move the workshop to another venue in the same city, the ticket stays valid. If we move it to another city or date, section 6.2 applies.

7. On the day

7.1 Behaviour. We expect everyone in the room to treat instructors, other participants and venue staff with respect. We may refuse or remove a participant who seriously disturbs the workshop or behaves unsafely or inappropriately. In that case you do not receive a refund.

7.2 Venue rules. You follow the house rules of the venue. You are liable for damage you cause to the venue.

7.3 Your own laptop and accounts. You bring what the event page asks for, such as your laptop and your own AI subscription (for example Claude or ChatGPT). Those accounts are yours. Their use is governed by the terms of their providers (GTC article 6.3). We do not log in to your accounts.

7.4 Your own data. During hands-on work you may connect your own mail, calendar, files or code. Only use data you are allowed to use. Do not bring confidential data of your employer or of third parties unless you are authorised to. Where you can, work on copies or a test environment. We are not responsible for what happens to data you enter into your own AI tools, except in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our side, and without prejudice to mandatory law.

7.5 Recording. You may not record the workshop on video or audio without our permission. Taking notes and screenshots of your own work is fine.

8. Photos and video

8.1 We take photos and short videos during the workshop to show what our workshops look like, on our website and social media. We aim for impressions of the room and the work, not portraits.

8.2 Prefer not to be recognisable? Tell us at the start of the day or email academy@likeahuman.ai. We then keep you out of the frame, or remove or blur you afterwards. You can also object later. We then stop that use within 14 days.

8.3 We only use a recognisable portrait of you in an advertisement or a testimonial with your separate permission.

8.4 How we process your personal data is in our privacy policy.

9. Training materials, the online learning environment and bonuses

9.1 What you make is yours. Everything the participant builds during the workshop, such as skills, plugins, prompts, configuration files, agents and code, is Participant Output. It belongs to the participant, or to the company that bought the ticket where the GTC say so (GTC articles 9.2 to 9.4).

9.2 Our materials stay ours. Slides, recordings, workbooks, templates, starter skills, methodology and the online learning environment are Training Materials. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning (GTC article 9.1). You may not copy, publish, resell or share them outside that use without our written permission.

9.3 Online learning environment. You get personal access for the period stated on the event page, starting on the day of the workshop. Your login is personal. Do not share it. We may suspend access if it is shared or misused.

9.4 Bonuses (plugins, templates, checklists). Bonuses listed on the event page are licensed to the participant, not sold. You may use and adapt them in your own work, including for your employer or your own business. You may not resell, redistribute or publish them as a product. Values shown next to bonuses indicate their standalone price. They cannot be exchanged for money.

9.5 AI output. AI-generated output can contain errors and is not professional advice. You check it before you use it (GTC articles 13 and 15).

10. Liability

10.1 GTC article 19 applies. For an open workshop "the value of the assignment" means the price of the ticket.

10.2 Our liability is not limited in case of intent or deliberate recklessness, for death or personal injury, or where mandatory law does not allow it.

11. Privacy, cookies and marketing

11.1 We process your details to deliver your ticket: booking, invoice, intake, reminders and access to the learning environment. Details are in our privacy policy.

11.2 Accepting these terms is not consent to cookies. You choose your cookies in the cookie banner on our website, and you can change that choice at any time under Settings. Details are in our cookie policy.

11.3 Accepting these terms is not consent to our newsletter. We only send you marketing emails with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time. One exception: if you start a booking and leave your email address, we may send you one email about that booking. You can unsubscribe from it with one click.

12. Complaints and law

12.1 Something not right? Email academy@likeahuman.ai within 14 days after you notice it (GTC article 26). We respond within five working days.

12.2 Dutch law applies (GTC article 27). If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.

12.3 Disputes go to the court of Midden-Nederland (Utrecht). If you are a consumer, you may also go to the court that the law designates for you, and GTC article 27.3 (claims lapse after 30 days) does not apply to you.

13. Changes

13.1 We may update these terms. The version you accepted when you bought your ticket applies to that ticket.

Cookie settings

Help us improve.

We use cookies or similar technologies for technical purposes and, with your consent, for other purposes as specified in the cookie policy. Use the "Accept" button to consent.

Cookie settings

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, do the same job. We use them for three purposes. Two of them are your choice.

Necessary

These keep the site working. We store your cookie choice in your browser, so we do not ask again on every page. The ticket button and the ticket checkout come from Luma, our ticketing platform. Luma and its security provider Cloudflare set cookies that protect the checkout against bots. These need no consent and are always on.

Analytics

Umami counts visits and clicks without cookies and without identifying you, so it always runs. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager show us in more detail how people use the site, and Microsoft Clarity shows where people click and scroll, with heatmaps and recordings of visits in which what you type is masked. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga, kept for up to 2 years, and shares data with Google Ireland Limited; Clarity sets _clck and _clsk and shares data with Microsoft. They run only if you allow them.

Marketing

On our event pages the Meta pixel tells Meta which pages you saw and when you start a checkout, so we can see which ads work. It sets the _fbp cookie, kept for 90 days, and _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad. The data goes to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It runs from the moment you open an event page. Switch off Marketing below to stop it.

Separately from these switches, when you buy a ticket our server reports that purchase to Meta, with your email, name and location in hashed form. Our privacy policy explains this.

Your choice

Switch off what you do not want and press Save choices. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The cookie policy lists every tracker, who provides it and how long it is kept.
